Kay's pottery journey began over 30 years ago with a class where she was the only student who failed to create a single thing on the potter's wheel. So she tried again. And then, again, until finally hands, mind, wheel and clay connected.
Kay's clay work consists of incremental experimentation and the joy of theory and practice. Their mandate is to create one of a kind, functional pieces that exude beauty in form and detail.
Kay is a studio artist and active member of the London Potters' Guild at the London Clay Art Centre where she also teaches wheel throwing and hand building. She spends much time in her back yard as well, instructing and creating in her little 3 season studio.
